where their bodies have been sold.
Equipped with ungodly power,
a taste once sweet now turned to sour.

Shackled to their graves,
living out their lives as slaves.
Now covered in the earth's soil,
their world now turned into turmoil.

What's this that stands before me?
Lives lost that still have meaning?
Dead inside not in heaven,
angels living with demons,
on the outside looking in.

Heavy is my soul,
mourning death that was not old.
Lost are those that we keep closest,
we need healing and catharsis.

Keep your loved ones close,
keep your enemies away.
Don't take anything for granted,
it will turn to sand and granite.

Fixing what's not broke,
giving a sense of false hope.
